![]() It's easy to reset a frozen iPod without erasing its memory so it's not really a problem, just a concern. I've had some intermittent issues with tracks stopping short and skipping to the next track, and it has frozen up once. The purpose of mine will be only for the car - I have an older audio deck that has iPod audio and video connectivity and it works well. 160Gb versions still go for double the price, so why not just buy 2 80Gb iPods? The 30Gb versions have less than half the memory but you'll pay a lot more than half of what you would for the 80Gb. IPod classic 80Gb is a great MP3 player with a decent balance of cost vs. Get a fair price and this is a good value! All the reviews I read before buying the Zen vision M rated it a better product and I hate to just "follow the trend" Overall, am I happier? too soon to tell but it's great to have one sounddock in the kitchen we can all use. I think Apple has enjoyed great success due it's marketing strategy and advertising. Itunes also, for some strange reason, to load much much faster on the desktop than the Creative softward and has given me far fewer problems. I think the click wheel is superior to the Zen vision M and makes searching for music and using it a joy. I do like the clarity of the screen thoug h the Creative is better. I wish it had a radio like the Creative does. I hate the "apple or nothing" proprietary way with apple. I hate a few things about the Ipod-I cannot move music from the handheld to the desktop/itunes library and when my system crashed, I was glad to have all my music on the Creative to easily load it again. I also was finding it increasingly frustrating to remember to use two different systems and hardware-forgot to mention that I have the Ipod nano strictly for exercise. However, my all family now has apple units and it makes it more difficult to move music back and forth and then we had incompatible portable sound docks. I have-until I sell it on ebay-a Creative Zen Vision M which is great. I really really did not want to get this mp3 player. So despite the ranting, I am a satisfied iPod user and would recommend this seller to other buyers I got exactly what they said I would get. Maybe design unique headsets like Skull Candy Ink’d or Vibe Red Roxx and charge a premium for this extra feature. So Apple if you read these reviews, ‘WAKE UP’ you would sell more of these if they were not so visible to the criminal element. This obvious feature can cause the owner to be become a victim of a robbery in an urban area, a bus or train, or a shopping mall anywhere. ![]() Are the designers color blind or can’t they just get past announcing to the world that users with white headphones are carrying an iPod. My biggest compliant is that I cannot understand why Apple being such an image conscience company insists on making the cables and headphones white. Since the Sony Walkman is no longer the music toy of choice I would have expected Apple to really try to dominate this market segment with a Super iPod but I guess Steven Jobs has not hired bright enough people yet. One thing I miss is the FM radio from my previous MP3 player. How about a titanium version for $50 or $100 bucks more? The unit looks good and feels sturdy although I am not too fond of the stain less steel back. ![]() The sound generated is very good and the picture quality of movies on this unit is amazing. I have copied over 800 songs, multiple videos, pictures and movies and have not reached 10GB of use yet. I have always purchased all the tech toys and have been putting this toy to the test. I think that scroll wheel could be enhanced to be more sensitive or add a setting to sensitize it when placed in a case. It works great but when I use the unit in the gym in a case with a plastic face, the scroll wheel is not easy to use. I bought this 80GB iPod as a refurbished unit and so far have no complaints other than a minor scratch on a corner of the screen thankfully it is not very visible when viewing movies or videos. ![]()
